The summer transfer window is finally open for Premier League clubs. It was reported that the window will be open from July 1 and will be closed to August 31. A lot of EPL clubs are spending millions to sign new players to strengthen their lineups before the next season begins.

Here are some of the most notable transfers for the upcoming season.

Turkish player Ozan Tufan is finally joining Hull City

It was confirmed that Ozan Tufan finally closed the deal with Hull City on Wednesday. The transfer fee is reported to be around £4m. The 27-year-old Turkish midfielder will be transferring from his Turkish club Fenerbahce to Hull City.

The exact nature of the transfer is not known yet but it was reported that it will be a three-year contract and the midfielder will be the first Turkish player to play in the Premier League. Tufan was on loan at Watford last season and he made 13 appearances for the Hornets.

Sam Johnstone was ready for his transition to Crystal Palace

Following his free agent status, Sam Johnstone has finally agreed to join Crystal Palace on a four-year contract. Palace have shown keen interest in the defender since the start of the summer transfer window.

It was unknown if Johnstone would join Palace on a permanent basis or if he would be on loan. However, following the news of his transfer, Palace manager Roy Hodgson said that the club would be willing to give him a permanent deal.

Chelsea and Inter Milan still on a negotiation stalemate to sign Romelu Lukaku 

Chelsea was in the middle of negotiations with Inter Milan over the transfer of Romelu Lukaku. However, it was reported that the negotiations have stalled due to the financial demands of the Italian club led by president Steven Zhang.

The officials at Inter Milan have said that they are willing to meet any demands that Chelsea has. However, it was Zhang who was mulling over the decision to sign Lukaku because of the huge amount of €10 million requested by Chelsea plus the full salary of the Belgian player.

Middlesbrough was keen on signing Darlow and Iversen after welcoming Roberts as back-up goalkeeper

Middlesbrough was focusing their attention on Leicester City’s Daniel Iversen and Newcastle United’s Karliegal Darlow. The club has been in talks with both players for a while now and the club manager Chris Wilder has been impressed with both players.

The interest to sign Darlow and Iversen came after Boro signed Liam Roberts as the new back-up goalkeeper. Darlow was set to depart Newcastle United after his contract expired in the summer and Iversen was on loan at Preston North End till the end of the season. 

Rudiger reveals Real Madrid and Barcelona was interested on him after Chelsea departure

Spanish rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona are competing again and this time they are looking at the experienced defender Rudiger after his departure at Chelsea. Rudiger was a target for both clubs following his reachability as a free agent when he decided to leave Chelsea last campaign. 

In the end, the defending Champions League winners Real Madrid won the competition to sign the German defender and Rudiger has revealed that he will be going to the Spanish giants. Rudiger has been a key figure for Chelsea over the last few seasons and he signed for a four-year deal at the beginning of June.
